Using a low cost non geographic 03 phone number is a great way to increase calls from your website. Giving a low rate number for your site visitors to call, regardless of their location or device. The new 03 numbers are very good for mobile web visitors, as the calls to these numbers are usually taken from their free minutes and do not cost the caller extra.
Cloud Based Telecoms
Being cloud based telecoms, this means you can direct these inbound business calls to any phone number you want. Mobile or landline, without having to display it publicly on the web. So you’re no longer tied to your desk or office, take your calls while out and about or even at the beach 😀
Business Calls to Your Mobile
The quickest, easiest and cheapest way I have found to set up a non-geographic phone number, which routes calls to a mobile or landline, is by using the fantastic platform by Twilio. Once you have created an account and set up your non-geo phone number, simply follow the 5 steps below to start getting inbound calls to any active phone number.
03 Number Inbound Call Routing
- Navigate to TwiML Bins
- Add a bin and paste the below code in the main field
- Replace +NN-NNNN-NNNNNN with your destination number
- Give it a friendly name like “forward” and save
- Now go to Manage Numbers and set it up as pictured below

Receive 03 Calls On You Mobile
That’s it you should be good to go! Call your new non-geographic number from a different phone and check that you can answer and maintain a call on your mobile network connection or existing landline.
NB. If you don’t have a mobile signal, you can’t get calls routed to your mobile number.
